IMPORTANT NOTES: Review the Independent Projects: 2014 Guidelines before completing this application. Ensure you are completing the correct form: Independent Producers and Major Producers should use the appropriate forms for their application. You will be notified by late March 2014 if your Independent Project has been accepted. Keep a copy of your application for your records. Project Information Name of Producing Organization or Artist: Title of Project: Project Description Provide an overview of your project. Include any and all information required to fully describe your project proposal to. Refer to the application guidelines (SECTION #6) for the Areas of Assessment. In this section you should address your project's relationship to current Contemporary Visual Art practice, its merit, presentation and originality and its feasibility. Please describe how your programming will extend for the duration for 12 hours. Your description should articulate what you plan to do and how you plan to do it. If your project is accepted you will be required to supply us with a copy of your venue agreement (unless the venue is also the applicant). Projects will be assessed on their financial viability. Provide a basic outline of your proposed budget including expenses and sources of projected revenue (grants, sponsorships, etc.) Please note, your budget should balance and can include in-kind donations of goods or services. Your budget should include artistic, production, technical, logistical, safety and security considerations. Support Material You can submit a maximum of three supporting documents, plus up to five images, audio or video files with this application form. Supporting documents should only be used to submit information not found in the application form. Examples of unacceptable supporting documents include: artist/curator biographies, budgets, project descriptions or details. Examples of acceptable supporting documents include: site layouts, technical or design specifications and engineer or architectural drawings. Please ensure that at least one of these is an artist rendering or mock up of your project. File Specifications: - Supporting Documents must be in .PDF format - Images must be in .JPEG format, at a maximum resolution of 300 dpi - Video works must be in .MOV, .MPEG, .WMV or .AVI format - Audio must be in .MP3 or .WAV format - If at all possible host audio or video files on web sites such as Vimeo or You Tube and provide those links in the form below. Other formats cannot be opened and will not be reviewed.
