2016/2017 CHSRA District 5 Rodeo Season STOCK BIDS CHSRA District 5 is currently accepting Stock Bids for our 2016/2017 Rodeo Season. Sealed Bids will be received by Board of Directors until 9 p.m. August 8th 2016. Bids are to be submitted on the Bid Form provided and attached herewith. Bids submitted on alternate forms will not be acknowledged. Bidders are encouraged to provide supplementary information, in the form of an attachment as they see fit, in support of their Bid. Bids must be submitted in a sealed clearly marked envelope. Unsealed Bids will not be opened. Bids may be either mailed or hand delivered. If Bidder chooses to submit Bid via mailing. Bidder is encouraged to mail Bids sufficiently in advance of Bid deadline in order to ensure timely delivery of Bid by the stipulated deadline. If you are submitting a bid close to the deadline CHSRA D5 recommends Bids to be hand delivered. Bids received after the stipulated deadline will not be opened or accepted. Contractor’s Information & Stock Requirements Stock must not be double booked and/or used for another event on the same day as a CHSRA D5 Rodeo. Stock must be broke in / seasoned. No walking fresh livestock. Roped-out cattle or overtly dangerous livestock may be removed from the draw at the discretion of the Arena or Event Director. Contractors may bid CJHSRA and CHSRA rodeo stock individually or together. Note: Contractors are encouraged to provide stock quality appropriate to the Jr High contestant ability level for all CJHSRA rodeos/events. All goats must have their horns tipped or cut back to a minimum of a U.S. 10 cent piece, weight limit is 40 to 60 lbs and goats MUST be uniform in size AND breed. No Pigmy Goats. All goats must be ear tagged (“collar #’s only is unacceptable). Roping Stock must be ear tagged with I.D. #’s or number branded. All Team Roping stock must have horn wraps, be of uniform size and breed. (Use of horn Wrap numbers only without a corresponding Ear Tag in the animal is unaccepted). Weight Requirements: Minimum Maximum Tie Down calves: 180 lbs. 250 lbs. Breakaway calves: 180 lbs. 350 lbs. Steer Wrestling cattle: 450 lbs. 550 lbs. Steer Bareback 600 lbs. 900 lbs. Steer Saddle Bronc 600 lbs. 900 lbs. Arena/event directors reserves the right to check and exclude any cattle outside of these limits. Rough Stock All Horned Bulls must be have their horns tipped or cut back to a minimum of a U.S. 25 cent piece. Bulls must be ear tagged with I.D. #’s or number branded. All Bucking Horses must be identifiable by brand number. CHSRA D5 may provide alternative bull fighters and/or pickup men, and contractor will be notified prior to the rodeo. In the Steer Bareback and Steer Saddle Bronc there are to be no bulls just steers or heifers. Contractor must meet all NHSRA Rule Book Regulations, including but not limited to all CHSRA supplemental rules and regulations.
