Inner Southern Region- 2015 AFCA Newsletter

Welcome
Hi everyone and welcome to the Inner Southern Region’s AFCA newsletter.
What a fantastic year we have had. Footy at the grass roots level is really flourishing across the Inner
Southern Region and your role as a coach has been one of the driving forces behind the growth and
success.
Over 240 coaches successfully completed their Level 1 accreditation courses in 2015 across all levels.
We now have over 1400 accredited coaches in the region.
Coaches that have Accreditations that expire on the
31/12/2015 will be notified via email with re-accred forms
& details in mid November.
The role of the coach is a very responsible and influential
one. You are the 'significant other' in players' lives beside
their close network of family, friends, teachers, etc. It is to
this end that AFL Victoria and the Inner Southern Region
takes coaching and its outcomes very seriously. We see
you shaping, influencing and supporting the social, physical
and emotional development of the participants in your
care.
Our responsibility at AFL Victoria is to create an environment where coaches, like you, are equipped
and supported in your role. This newsletter provides a cross section of information that coaches can
read, utilise and pass on to help improve the standard of coaching across the region.
Happy reading!
