Energy Engineer
To support the continued growth of our business we are seeking an Energy Engineer who is
looking to work to reduce carbon emissions. Starting salary £20 - £25k depending on
qualifications and experience.

We are an ethical energy consultancy company who contribute to carbon reduction in the UK
and overseas. We work with a wide range of commercial and industrial clients as well as
local and national government. Our work typically involves measurement and calculation of
energy flows, discussions with relevant stakeholders, and preparation of reports and audit
statements. Some examples of our work include:





Advising government departments (DECC, Ofgem, Defra, Communities, BIS) on
energy use
Advising commercial and government clients on issues surrounding the Renewable
Heat Incentive and Feed in Tariffs
Advising commercial clients on energy reduction, carbon footprinting and verification;
Advising industrial clients on new developments such as renewable energy
technologies and demonstration of performance via field trials
Carrying out research into novel energy carrier technologies
The Successful Candidate
You will hold an engineering HND or degree in a relevant discipline, (eg Chemical,
Environmental, Energy, Mechanical, Instrumentation) and be able to demonstrate:

Industry experience in an energy or environmental related role or a strong desire to
move into these areas
Excellent written and spoken communication skills, including the ability to question
Excellent command of MS Excel and good overall knowledge of other related
software (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)
The ability to work to tight deadlines, to juggle multiple and varying tasks, and to
prioritise
Driving license
Desirable



Good knowledge of energy concepts and calculations
Experience in measuring heat energy
Experience in plant room design/implementation
