MEA®
Polymer concrete
A quality material
The special polymer concrete from MEA® is remarkable for its outstanding
physical and chemical properties. These make it an extremely reliable and
versatile material in even the toughest conditions. The material – natural
mineral products such as quartz, basalt and granite, all bonded together
with a resinous mixture – is particularly robust with a very high flexural
tensile and compressive strength. Another impressive feature of drainage
channels in polymer concrete is that they are significantly lighter than
conventional concrete channels, making them considerably easier to install.
Because they are particularly resistant to liquid chemicals, MEA® channels
in polymer concrete are the product of choice when it comes to eco-friendly
drainage solutions and protecting groundwater. The numerous benefits of
MEA®'s specially developed polymer concrete are what make this material
the successful basis for the MEA®DRAIN Solution PG channel system.

MEA®DRAIN
Solution PG
The system at a glance
An important but often overlooked
aspect when indoor projects such as
multi-storey car-parks, underground
car-parks and industrial buildings
are being planned is the question
of drainage. With its systematically
thought-through channel system
MEA®DRAIN Solution PG, MEA® is
the first manufacturer to offer an
innovative complete solution that
addresses these special
requirements and represents a
drainage solution that is impressive
in every way.
The profile is so flat – only 50 mm – that the channel is easy to fit with
no major impact on the structure of the floor or ceiling. Once in use,
the Solution PG is also impressively quick and easy to clean, with no
grating that has to be removed. Whereas conventional channel
systems are limited purely to draining away water, the MEA®DRAIN
Solution PG can also be used as tactile paving providing guidance for
the visually impaired. Norm-compliant slot widths guarantee a
wheelchair and bicycle-friendly surface and, of course, certification to
load class C250 means the product is also entirely safe for heavy
goods vehicles to drive over.
■ The unique grooved profile (patent applied for)
is the key to a monolithic product with no moving parts.
That is what makes the Solution PG extremely quiet to
drive over, easy to clean and also suitable as a guidance
system for the visually impaired.
In its MEA®DRAIN Solution PG
channel body, MEA® has developed
a product whose features really set
it apart from the rest. Because it
has no moving parts at all, it is
virtually noise-free and sets new
standards for use in underground
car-parks. Furthermore, the
combination of the modern,
corrosion-free material polymer
concrete with a grooved profile for
which a patent has been applied
for opens up all kinds of new
opportunities for designers.
■ Being only 50 mm high, and with the whole depth of the
channel being usable, right to the top, Solution PG
channels have the lowest profile of any prefabricated
drainage channel available on the market.

■ The junction element allows this channel system to be used in an endless variety
of ways. Optionally available with an outlet. The junction element is open on
three sides; where necessary, the closed side may also be left open.
■ Practical anchorage indentations
guarantee that the product stays securely
positioned in the concrete bed.
.
■ End caps at the channel start and end.
