The importance of early intervention
The first step to successful early intervention
services is identifying a potential
developmental delay or disability. To do this,
we must make sure our children's
development is screened early and often. Our
Make the First Five Count free, online
screening tool makes tracking your baby's
development easy. Since every baby is so
different, it doesn't matter if you're a first-time
parent. Find out more about MtFFC.

Backpack doantion!
August 5 marked the first day of school for our
child development centers in metro Atlanta
and Northeast Georgia. Keeping our children
healthy as they make new friends includes
ensuring their immunizations are up to date.
According to the Centers for Disease Control:
Alpharetta-based Intelligent Switchgear
Organization (ISO) donated 100
backpacks filled with school supplies for
our students at our Mansell location. Kids
and parents were so grateful for their
generous donation.

Vaccines are among the safest and most
cost-effective ways to prevent disease.
When a child comes down with a
disease such as whooping
cough, chickenpox or the flu, he or she
may miss a lot of school while
recovering. Somebody will need to stay
home to provide care and make trips to
the doctor.

meet other Easter Seals families. Here are 5
