To be based at Camden. To cover work across the Hackney, Waltham
Forest, Barnet, CAFCASS contracts with delivery pan-London depending
on referrals.
Role purpose
Rise is an employee-led mutual which designs and delivers effective rehabilitation for
people with complex needs. We do this by drawing on the expertise and experience in
evidence-led practice and market testing new interventions.
With the main objectives of reducing re-offending and helping to protect the public, the
RISE Programme Facilitator will deliver a range of interventions, that RISE may design,
commission or be commission to deliver in the future.
Key Accountabilities









To be responsible for the delivery of a range of accredited and non-accredited
interventions that challenge the thinking and attitudes that has led to abusive
behaviours and to build on our service users’ strengths to aid their desistance from
future abuse.
To work closely with RISE’s Senior Practitioner to ensure an integrated approach
supporting service delivery in line with KPIs.
To adhere to recording interventions to support the delivery of KPIs in line with our
Quality Assurance framework.
Deliver a wide range of interventions which include group work, one to ones, working
with both families and service users.
Facilitators will need to adhere to relevant programme manuals and deliver programme
sessions to ensure the integrity of programme delivery which is overseen by the Senior
Practitioner.
To engage all participants and facilitate learning including proactively working to reduce
attrition.
To ensure effective planning for the delivery of each intervention with a co-facilitator (if
required) in advance of the session.
To attend Clinical Consultancy to support safe practice and develop resilience during
the delivery of demanding work as directed by the Senior Practitioner.
Where delivering Domestic Abuse Interventions, liaise and share important information
with RISE Domestic Abuse Safety Advisers and external agencies to ensure integrated
approach to risk management of Domestic Abuse.

Liaise with relevant professional agencies involved with the Family or Service User as
per data sharing agreements and relevant legislation.
To ensure timely and accurate recording of all relevant data (attendance, feedback,
mid-way and end of intervention reports) using Interventions Manager.
To be personally accountable for the completion of Mid-way reports, and End of
Intervention reports as required.
To ensure completion of pre-and post-assessments for relevant programmes in
accordance with the time frames.
Have a clear understanding of how and why people stop offending (Desistance Theory),
CBT and the ‘’What Works’’ agenda and the role of intervention delivery in the
rehabilitation process.
To be a strong advocate for RISE interventions, representing RISE and its interventions
at key stakeholder events.
To be responsible and accountable for working with Senior Practitioner in ensuring
cover arrangements own pre-planned absence.
To establish and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues within RISE
and our partner organisations.
To be flexible and attend accredited and non-accredited interventions nationally as
required and be proactive in planning and successfully completing assessed training
events.
To assist with writing risk assessments and vulnerability risk assessments.
Programmes facilitators will be expected to deliver programmes during the evening
and at weekend as part of this role.
Facilitators will be expected to participate in and pass the necessary modules to be
able to deliver interventions.
Facilitators will be required to travel and deliver interventions Pan London in line with
demand such as New Beginnings and Building Better Relationships
To provide one-to-one support to female and LGBT perpetrators of domestic abuse.
To deliver programmes for young perpetrators (11 to 18) and parents.
Confidentiality and Information Security

with the terms of RISE’s Information Security Policy and that of our partners where
relevant (notably, the London Community Rehabilitation Company for whom RISE is
delivering services on behalf of)
 To comply with security measures in accordance with RISE, our partners (or NOMS
National) Information Security policies including the London CRC’s E-mail and
Internet use.
Safeguarding Children and Vulnerable Adults
 RISE is committed to keeping children and vulnerable adults safe. Post holders with
direct offender contact are responsible for promoting and safeguarding the welfare
of children and vulnerable adults s/he is responsible for or comes into contact with.
Post holders without direct offender contact have a general responsibility for
safeguarding children and vulnerable adults during their daily duties and for
ensuring that they are aware of the specific duties relating to their role.


Experience of delivering domestic abuse interventions.

Ability and willingness to travel as well as delivering at
evenings and weekends
Experience of working with both families and male and
female service users.
Understanding of group dynamics and an ability to motivate
