Walking in Two Worlds The purpose of Walking in Two Worlds (W2W) is to assist immigrant and refugee women and their families by acting as advocates, connecting them to community resources and empowering them toward self-sufficiency. Each new client enrolling in the Walking in Two Worlds program will receive a Welcome Basket which includes personal hygiene items and household supplies. When Walking in Two Worlds clients move into housing, they typically are in need of many household items. The YWCA welcomes in-kind donations of the following items: New items needed: Gently used items needed: Dishes & silverware Dressers Dinnerware The YWCA welcomes in-kind donations of the following items: Hand Soap Paper Towels Shampoo/Conditioner Toilet Paper Tables Body Lotion Band-aids Cookware sets Chairs Deodorant Laundry Detergent Pots & pans Other furniture Toothpaste Laundry Basket Toothbrushes Towels (bath & kitchen) Sheets, pillows & blankets (all sizes) Mattresses (all sizes) Gift cards and cash donations to secure basic needs of Gift cards and cash donations to secure basic needs of W2W clients are always accepted. Total cost to provide 1 Welcome Basket = $41.18 Due to limited space, please contact the YWCA Total cost to provide 10 Welcome Baskets = $411.80 before donating any items.
