Henry V at The Core
Congratulations and thank you to everyone who
contributed to our performance of Henry V at The
Core theatre in Corby on Tuesday.
The performance was a result of our partnership
with The Core theatre at Corby; the hard work
and belief of the adults who have worked on it
and the confidence of our children.
Thank you for attending the performance. On the
evening, Mrs Griggs, Mrs Dearing, Mrs Ettridge,
Mrs MacKinnon and Mrs Aldridge all played a significant part managing behind the scenes, making
last minute alterations, altering costumes and
keeping children entertained. Performing the play
was an achievement in itself but it was so much
more than that. It represented the belief and hard
work of the school community and it is something
as a staff, we will remember for a long time.
Marking Remembrance
On Sunday morning Zak, Matilda, Eddie and
Emily will be representing the school at the village
service of Remembrance.
On Wednesday, we will be taking the children to
the village memorial to mark Armistice Day. The
children will arrive at 10:50 am at the memorial,
say prayers, read poems and then mark the two
minutes silence at 11:00am.
Parents are welcome to join us at the memorial to
mark the occasion with us.
What’s green, used to live in the jungle but
now inhabits the grass at the front of the
school?
Art Club have worked so hard this term and we
have been very creative!
Our school symbol for creativity and resourcefulness is a green monkey so we have created our
own troop green monkeys.
They will be appearing on the grass bank at the
front of the school and we hope that you all enjoy
looking at them.
Children in Need
The School Council have been busy organising
activities to raise money for Children in Need on
Friday 13th November.
All children can come in fancy dress or mufti on
this day for a donation to the charity.
Children are also running some games and stalls
on the day and children can bring in some small
change to participate in these. One of the stalls
will be a cake stall and any donations of cakes will
be gratefully received on the morning of the 13th.
Shoeboxes
We have had two beautifully decorated shoeboxes brought in to school this week. We have
set an ambitious target of 100 boxes which
means there are only 98 to go until we hit our target...
