WHY YOU SHOULD ATTEND This two-day road safety barrier system workshop now focuses on the skills and information necessary to design systems and certify installations Design theory Design Exercises Fitting design to location Design Certification Exam NZTA and Local Authority Staff, Consultants and Contractors responsible for either: design, certification and audit of safety barriers should attend and take the exam. Pre-requisite: The Road Safety Barrier Installation, Maintenance and Inspection Workshop. Barrier Design and Certification Qualification (BDCQ) Consultants carrying out design and supervision work involving road safety barriers will need to have attended this core workshop and have passed the BARRIER DESIGN AND CERTIFICATION TEST A list of those who hold this qualification is now on the NZTA Website. He was responsible for the development of the NZTA M23 Road Safety Barrier specification. Julian Chisnall has over 20 years experience with road safety barrier design and installation, in New Zealand and overseas. He is the NZTA National Traffic & Safety Engineer, overseeing the specifications for road safety hardware.
