Wireless Trondheim
as a research area
• TrT Access (or ”Broadband commons”)
– A wireless network in Trondheim city for ”everyone” (initial user groups
covers: NTNU, The County, The City administration Trondheim, The
Electric Power Company of the town and Adressa the dominant regional
newspaper). This gives a potential aggregated number of users in the range
40 to 50 000 (includes all students at the univ. and all high school students).
• TrT Network lab
– A full-sized outdoor lab suitable for testing new networking technologies.
• TrT Service Lab
– A lab for mobile service development and testing.

– Broadbands connections (Gb/s, fiber og Cat5+ kabel).
• NB: TrT Network lab has its own communincation links
