Post: Commissioning Manager - Vulnerable Children and Young People

Post information: This post involves:
Predominantly office based work – desk research, telephone, email, drafting reports, use of
computer.
Visits to other office based environments – in Sheffield and some regional/national venues
Presentations, speaking to small and large groups.
Making decisions about resources that affect the lives of children, young people and their
families, and groups of staff.
Managing complex workload in a partnership environment.
Making decisions on the basis of conflicting views or evidence.
Medical Guidelines: If you have any of the following health conditions Sheffield City Council
may need to consider some adjustments to our recruitment process and to the job itself:





Back or neck problems which cause difficulty with prolonged sitting/standing.
Arthritis, which causes difficulty in writing, lifting objects or using telephones and similar
technology.
Poor vision in both eyes with glasses or contact lenses.
For telephone users – poor hearing, with hearing aid if worn.



A repetitive strain injury, tenosynovitis, tennis elbow, wrist operations, carpel tunnel
syndrome, frozen shoulder or pain/tingling in wrists, hands, elbows or shoulders.
Poor vision in both eyes with glasses or contact lenses.
History of flashing light induced epilepsy.
If you have been advised to avoid to restrict your use of a VDU or similar technology.

History of anxiety and inability to cope with pressure or confrontation.
