Flint Hills Exhibit Dedication Ceremony –
Wednesday, April 12
Join us starting at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 12 for the official dedications of two map
exhibits featuring the beautiful Flint Hills of Kansas!
There will be two ribbon-cutting events for the map exhibits. The first will take place at
2:00 p.m. in the atrium of Visser Hall, 1st floor. At 2:15 p.m., a second ribbon-cutting
event will take place on the 2nd floor of the William Allen White Memorial Library. A
short welcome and information about the map exhibits will then be held, with a reception
immediately following in White Library.
The place-based education program, created by a grass roots team of Flint Hills teachers,
scientists, ranchers and experts, is designed to deepen students’ pride and understanding
of their remarkable place in the world, the Kansas Flint Hills - the last four percent of
tallgrass prairie in North America.
