Shotokan Karate-Do club “ATOM” Domžale organizes the 6th S.K.I.F. International KYU Tournament
DOMŽALE 2016.
Only KYU belts can participate in the tournament.
According to the program of S.K.I.F. Slovenia the tournament is a selection competition for KYU team of S.K.I.F.
Slovenia for the KYU tournament in Austria (Strasswalchen, 21th May 2016).

Some competitors may perform in two age categories.
QUALIFICATION: All competitors in the first round perform HEIAN kata, but according to belt level.
Example: yellow belt – Hiean Shodan, brown belt – Heian Yondan or Heian Godan or any other Hiean kata.
FINAL: 4 or 8 competitors from the first round come to final. In the final competitors must perform
different Hiean kata. Groups 5A, 6A, 7A, 8A, 9A, 10A (purple and brown) and group 11A (brown belts) can
also perform the following kata: BASSAI-DAI; JION; ENPI; KANKU-DAI or HEIAN.
The sum of points from both rounds gives the final results.

Some competitors may perform in two age categories.
The competition in kumite is IPPON-HAN-SHOBU (until 3 wazaries or Ippona and 1 wazari), 2 minutes –
active time, maximum 2 extensions 1 minute. All competitors must have teeth protection, men groin
protection and women chest protection and white gloves (S.K.I.F. standard). No other protection gear is
allowed.
We recommend to all competitor in kumite insurance for the day of the competition. Otherwise competitors
compete on their own responsibility.

In case of higher power or low number of participants tournament can be cancelled at latest 24 hours before
the scheduled start of the competition. In this case, all the teams that sent the application will be informed in
the right time.
