Prof. Wahiti Gituru has served as an External Examiner for the Department of Applied
Biological Sciences in the Kenya Polytechnic University. In this capacity he examined
both undergraduate and post graduate examinations to ensure compliance with the set
standards. Dr Gituru is also the Academic Quality Assurance Officer and a member of
the QMS committee in the Botany Department, JKUAT in which capacity he assists the
COD in maintaining a high standard of academics in the department.
8. Editorial Work
Prof. Wahiti Gituru is an editor for several journals including the Journal of Evolutionary
Biology Research and the Journal of Biodiversity Conservation and Research. He has
on several occasions also reviewed manuscripts submitted to Journal of Agriculture
Science and Technology (JAGST) in JKUAT among other reputable journals.
