Meet Our New Stateside Coordinator!
Colorado!
Since Jeamette moved to Colorado last year we have been
Hallelujah, we had a fantastic time in Denver and Colorado
praying fervently for the Lord to raise up a stateside
representative for our ministry (big shoes to fill). In March,
after Mike Yordt returned from his 3rd trip to serve us in
Sudan, the Lord touched his heart to serve us stateside.
Springs, sharing our ministry with two churches and a
school. Sabet shared his heart and the vision the Lord has
given us for Sudan. We’re praying to bring one short-term
mission team a month from different churches in America.
That’s only 12 churches a year…....how hard can that be???
We had sweet fellowship with friends we hadn’t seen in
years and our dear friends, Troy & Jeamette Lock.
Jeamette served voluntarily as our stateside coordinator for
7 years before moving to Colorado last year. We miss her!!
Short
term mission trips are a huge blessing to our
ministry. For the first seven years our family served the
Lord in Sudan we didn’t have any teams visit from churches
and had very few individuals come out. Because we are so
far in the bush, and only accessible by charter airplane, it’s
not the easiest environment to serve the Lord in and can be
expensive to get to. Until three years ago we were also
living in a war zone. When Horizon sent their first team in
2006, they brought more than just help. Their very presence
encouraged us, brought fellowship, blessed our African staff
and brought reprieve to the hard daily grind of being in such
a remote area. You can’t put a price on being refreshed and
renewed in the Spirit.

He’s raising his own support and has stepped out in faith to
come alongside our ministry as our ‘new’ fulltime stateside
coordinator. This is an amazing answer to prayer for our
family, and with Mike at Sabet’s side, they have the potential
to turn Sudan upside down!! Two men, committed to Jesus
Christ, anointed by the Spirit of God is all the ingredients
needed for a spiritual explosion…..…THAT’S POWERFUL!!
Mike will coordinate with churches and individuals coming
out to serve on short-term trips as well as visit new churches
and introduce our ministry to them. We are blessed, excited
and quite honestly humbled that he would take this huge
step in obedience to the Lord to serve us….WOW!!
1 Samuel 10:26 says:
And Saul (Sabet) also went home to Gibeah (Sudan); and
there went with him a band of men (Mike Yordt), whose hearts
God had touched.

We are blessed to have a team of 14 people from Horizon
come and serve us later this month. Five men and nine
women will spend 2 weeks helping in the medical clinic,
teaching VBS, discipling and praying following the crusade
and Jesus film. They will also deliver medical supplies to
our clinic bought from money raised by the children at
Horizon Prep School through their Spirit Run event.

 Praise for Mike joining us, please pray for provision for
him through support he’s raising.
 Praise for the children supporting us through Spirit Run.
 Pray for Horizon team, Sabet and Mike that leave this
month.
