Nelson Netball Representative Manager Job Description
Reporting to:
Nelson Netball Centre Development Co-ordinator/Manager

2017 Representative Season
Purpose of position:
To be responsible for all aspects of organisation relating to the applicable representative
team, including the distribution and collection of uniforms, communications with the team
and NNC Office, all financial arrangements and overseeing the health and welfare of team
members.
Key Accountabilities
To support the
coach/players at trainings
and games as required.
Key Tasks
Liaise with Nelson Netball Centre regarding the
requirements for the team are available:
Outcomes
All practices and games run
smoothly
Appropriate equipment – eg bibs, balls or other
team gear as requested by the Coach
Appropriate personnel – eg umpires, primary
care personnel, as required
First aid equipment available at all times
Information such as registration forms, injury
surveillance and team programme.
All information pertaining to
the team is communicated
efficiently and effectively to
staff and team personnel.
Set up and communicate training sessions and
times.
Liaise with the Centre Office with regard to the
team programme including uniform distribution
following appointment as team manager.
The uniform and equipment
issued provides for the needs
of the team.
Liaise with the Centre Office for confirmation
regarding travel and accommodation details for
games.
Players and team officials are given the season’s
travel and accommodation itineraries within one
week of team being selected to identify issues
that may arise due to prior commitments.
Team uniforms and
equipment are accounted
for and all items are
returned to the Centre office
in good condition.
The Centre has good
financial records for the agegroup team.
Contact list checked and returned to NNC office
following first training session.
Keep accurate records of uniform numbers and
allocation.
All uniforms are returned as
agreed with centre office.
Uniforms and team equipment are accounted for
prior to, and after travel.
Ensure all uniforms and team equipment are
returned clean and undamaged within one week
of final tournament with the issue inventory.
Liaise with the Centre Manager re the payments
of cash advances for food.
Keep accurate records of all money spent and
received, and present all accounts and receipts

2. Experience of managing or organising a sports team.
3. Proven ability to communicate and work with young players.
4. Full drivers’ licence and the ability to drive the team van to tournaments.
