2nd WCBM Junior Academic Competition
I. Overview
2nd WCBM Junior Academic Competition is an international academic event which is
held with the World Conference on Business and Management (WCBM) organized by
People and Global Business Association (P&GBA). P&GBA publishes one of the top tier
international academic journal called Global Business and Finance Review (GBFR). On
August 2015, GBFR (pISSN 1088-6931 eISSN 2384-1648) is covered by Elsevier in the
SCOPUS, the largest abstract and citation database in the world. Due to the success of
the 1st WCBM Junior Academic Competition, many parents, teachers, and students have
requested to advance the 2nd competition for the juniors.
The purpose of this competition is to promote the future leaders who will help Korea in
becoming a strong globalized nation, and help the students develop ideas in a creative
and innovative manner through mentoring from professors around the world. There will
be opportunities where students will have professors specially coach them by teams
about the field of business/economy, and have their paper published in the proceeding
book for World Conference on Business and Management, while being able to
participate in the WCBM conference.
Ⅱ. Qualification for participation
□ Middle/High-School students who are eligible to the age standard.
□ Participate as individual or team (maximum of 4 people per team)

□ Free topic related to people oriented management/economy/finance
□ Special Topic : People-oriented Management

VII. Precaution for Writing Final Paper
□ Final Papers must be written based on the Extended Abstract.
□ Final Papers must be submitted as Microsoft Word file.

MS Word Standard: 4,000-5,000 Words
□ Final Papers must include all the students’ names and affiliation.
□ Citations, pictures, graphics, statistic charts, etc. that are used must have
reference listed.
□ Actual references must be recorded for each related parts.

VIII. Award Details
□ Awards will be presented to each English/Middle-School, Korean/Middle-School,
English/High-School and Korean/High-School teams.
Outstanding Paper Award (1 Team)
Reward for 500,000 KRW
Best Paper Award (2 Teams)
Reward for 200,000 KRW
Excellent Paper Award (3 Teams)
Reward for 100,000 KRW
Participation Award
(upper 30% of 3rd Final Round participants)
Present small gift
* Parts of awards may not be presented if there isn’t any applicable paper.
IX. 3rd Final Round Information
□ Each paper presentation will be given 10 minutes, and there will be questions
asked by evaluators for about 10 minutes.
□ Dress code for the final competition is free to choose, but try to wear formally.
□ Final awarded papers will be published in the WCBM 2016 Proceeding Book
(ISSN: 2384-3586), and may be purchased around Mid-July, 2016.
□ The team presented with the Outstanding Paper Award (1st place) will have a
choice of receiving the reward fee OR to participate in the WCBM 2016 (World
Conference on Business and Management) Conference held in Danang, Vietnam
(End of June), free of charge (only one corresponding author per team will be
supported with – Flight Ticket, Hotel, Conference Fee – around 1,500,000 KRW).
□ The other teams with papers awarded will be offered to attend and present their
paper in the WCBM 2016 Conference. (Conference Fee will be supported)
□ If the teams with final awarded papers wish to present/ publish their papers in a
different junior academic conference/journal, there will be a separate paper
coaching program in process. Also, we are planning to establish a special paper
writing lecture. (Will be announced later)
□ There will be an Attendance Certificate to students who participate in the 3rd Final
Round.
