WYRF12 www.wineyard.in Abstract: Indian agriculture is dependent on the monsoons which is not a reliable source of water. Therefore there is a need for an irrigation system in the country which can provide water to the farms according to their soil types. This paper presents the prototype design of microcontroller based automatic irrigation system which will allow irrigation to take place in zones where watering is required, there by supplying required quantity of water depending on the soil moisture indicated by different plants. Thus different plants grown can be supplied with single source of water automatically, which requires no human control. The use of pesticides sprinkling system in this project makes an added advantage to the irrigation system by sprinkling the pesticide mixture in required proportion to the plants once in a minute. Here, RFID card is used for giving an input ratio by which the pesticide and water are supplied to plants. RFID is an acronym for Radio Frequency Identification. This project is a standalone for detecting the missing tags in RFID system using AT89S52 microcontroller. This project is useful in all applications where more than two tags are there. RFID is increasingly used with biometric technologies for security. Primarily, the two main components involved in a Radio Frequency Identification system are the Transponder (tags that are attached to the object) and the Interrogator (RFID reader). Communication between the RFID reader and tags occurs wirelessly and generally doesn’t require a line of sight between the devices. In this project we are using two RFID tags with different ratio by which the pesticide and water are supplied to plants. The input ratio of pesticides will be predetermined in the RFID tags. This project uses AT89S52 Microcontroller as its controller. This project uses regulated 5v, 750mA power supply. 7805, a three terminal voltage regulator is used for voltage regulation. Bridge type full wave rectifier is used to rectify the ac output of secondary of 230/12v step down transformer. The RFID module requires a separate +5v power supply. www.WineYard.in Ph.: 040-6464 6363, 6625 6695, 888 5555 212 RFID BASED PESTISIDES DOSING WITH AUTOMATIC PLANT IRRIGATION FOR AGRICULTURE APPLICATIONS WYRF12 www.wineyard.in Contrast control RFID 16X2 LCD MAX Module Relay Driver Relay Water Pump Relay Driver Relay Pesticides Pump Relay Driver Relay Moisture Sensor AT89S52 RESET Relay Driver Relay Dosed Pesticides Pump Irrigation Water Pump Water Sprinkler Crystal Oscillator Step dow n T/F Bridge Rectifier Filter Circuit Regulator Power supply to all sections www.WineYard.in Ph.: 040-6464 6363, 6625 6695, 888 5555 212 BLOCK DIAGRAM: Water Sprinkle r
