3M™ Add-on Terminal 4220PF,
400-Pair and 800-Pair
The 3M™ Add-on Terminal 4220PF provides a front-facing and flexible expansion
alternative for adding up to 800 additional pair to either the left or right end of an
existing live cross-connect cabinet. This outdoor enclosure is primarily designed to
be mounted on the side of an existing 40-type cabinet. The enclosure will provide
additional cross-connect capacity without having to retrofit or replace the existing
cabinet. The 3M Add-On Terminal 4220PF, 400-Pair and 800-Pair comes in two
colors, has a powder-coated steel housing, and can be ordered with the 3M™ SelfStrip Block 4320 or the 3M™ Quick Connect System (QCS) 2810 Block. In addition,
both blocks are equipped with either 3M™ MS2™ Splicing Modules or 3M™ 710
Splicing Modules and standard tail lengths of 15 inches or 114 inches.
Features

• Utilizes existing pad, does not require additional right of way (ROW).
3M™ Add-on Terminal 4220PF loaded with
3M™ Self-Strip Blocks 4320
• Can be mounted on either the left or right end of an existing cross-connect cabinet
which may have either a power pedestal, DSLAM cabinet or other existing
obstruction on one end.
• Designed to allow expansion on an installed 40-type cabinet where existing doors
must open upon a recessed area of the 4220PF structure to allow for the swing of
the 40-cabinet doors, while the back of both cabinets remain flush.
• Has enough space behind the block frame that splicing can be accommodated
within the unit itself or harnesses routed for splicing into the host cabinet.
• The optional 3M™ Jumper Trough is available and provides a uniform jumper path
between the 3M™ Add-on Terminal 4220PF and the host cabinet.
