September 2016 Intentions of the Holy Father
General: That each may contribute to the common good and to the
building of a society that places the human person at the center.
Missionary: That by participating in the sacraments and meditating
on Scripture, Christians may become more aware of their mission to
evangelize.
Would you like to remember St. Peter in Chains Cathedral in your will? It is
one way of saying thanks for the many things for which you have been blessed.
SERRA CLUB FOR VOCATIONS
Christ spoke of talents each one of us has, talents which must not
be buried. Our calling is to take those talents, develop them fully, and then
use them in establishing his kingdom on earth. The Serra Club of Cincinnati
meets here at the cathedral on the 2nd & 4th Tuesdays of each month at
12Noon in the Undercroft South. If you are interested in knowing what you
can do to help foster vocations, please join them.
40 DAYS FOR LIFE FALL CAMPAIGN
This fall, from September 28 through November 6, our community
is uniting with over 300 cities around the world for the 40 Days for Life
campaign. Since 40 Days for Life began we have seen: 11,796 lives saved
from abortion; 133 abortion worker conversions and 74 abortion facilities
closed. Believers throughout our community are invited to join together for
40 days of fervent prayer and fasting for an end to abortion and the most
visible campaign component - peaceful vigil at Planned Parenthood on
Auburn Avenue in Cincinnati.
NATURAL FAMILY PLANNING
One of the best kept secrets about natural fertility regulation is that
it really works. It is not the old calendar rhythm method; it is more
scientifically based. For more information, or to register for a class, go
www.ccli.org or call 471-2000.

what was good during your lifetime
while Lazarus likewise received what was bad;
