Serial number is located on the back of the
printer.
On/off switch Is located at the back of the printer.

Load Paper Trays – tray 2, 3, 4, 5 or 6
 Open the tray and load your paper.
 Do not fill over the maximum fill
line.
 Close the tray.
 Confirm paper type on the control
panel.

Jam Clearance – Tray 2
NOTE: If a paper jam occurs, the Display Screen on the
Control Panel will identify the tray that has the jam. Press
the [OK] button on the Control Panel to view additional
information regarding the jam.
Carefully pull out Paper Tray 2, taking care not to let the
tray fall when removing it from the printer.
Remove any jammed paper and paper that has partially fed
into the printer. Also remove any crumpled, wrinkled, or torn
paper from the paper tray.
If no jammed paper was found and the fault code is still
displayed, insert the paper tray back into the printer and
continue with the next step.
Open and close the Top Cover / Door. If the fault code is
still displayed, continue with the next step.

Jam Clearance – Tray 2
Open the Top Cover / Door.
Gently lift up the orange handle on the Toner (Dry Ink) Cartridge, and
then remove the cartridge and set it aside.
CAUTION: Do not use warm water or cleaning solvents to
remove Toner (Dry Ink) from your skin or clothing. This will set
the Toner and make it difficult to remove. If any Toner gets on
your skin or clothing, use a brush to remove the Toner, or wash
it off with cold water and mild soap.
Gently lift up the orange handle on the Drum Cartridge, and then
remove the cartridge.
NOTE: Do not expose the Drum Cartridge to the direct sunlight or
strong indoor fluorescent lighting. Do not touch or scratch the
surface of the Drum.
Remove any jammed, crumpled, wrinkled, or torn paper.
Re-install the Drum Cartridge and the Toner Cartridge, and then
close the Top Cover / Door.

Maintenance - toner replacement
CAUTION: Do not use warm water or cleaning solvents to remove Toner (Dry Ink) from your skin or
clothing. This will set the Toner and make it difficult to remove. If any Toner gets on your skin or
clothing, use a brush to remove the Toner, or wash it off with cold water and mild soap.
Open the Top Cover / Door.
Gently lift up the orange handle on the Toner Cartridge, and then remove the cartridge.
Dispose of the cartridge according to your local recycling or disposal regulations.
NOTE: You can dispose of the used cartridge in the box that the new cartridge came in.
Before unpacking the new Toner Cartridge, gently shake it 3 or 4 times to distribute the
Toner. Remove the new cartridge from the box.
Make sure the cartridge is facing up, and then insert the cartridge into the printer until it
clicks into place.
Close the Top Cover / Door.
NOTE: When a new Toner Cartridge is installed, the printer will reset the Toner Usage
Counter automatically. If the cartridge that is installed is not new, the printer will
automatically detect the amount of Toner remaining and reset the usage counters
accordingly.
NOTE: A "Warming Up Please Wait" message may be displayed on the Control Panel
for up to five minutes. This is normal behaviour. Wait for the message to clear before
continuing to print.

Maintenance – drum cartridge replacement
CAUTION: Do not expose the Drum Cartridge to the direct sunlight or strong indoor
fluorescent lighting. Do not touch or scratch the surface of the Drum.
Open the Top Cover / Door.
Gently lift up the orange handle on the Toner (Dry Ink) Cartridge, and then remove the
cartridge and set it aside.
CAUTION: Do not use warm water or cleaning solvents to remove Toner (Dry Ink)
from your skin or clothing. This will set the Toner and make it difficult to remove. If
any Toner gets on your skin or clothing, use a brush to remove the Toner, or wash
it off with cold water and mild soap.
Gently lift up the orange handle on the Drum Cartridge, and then remove the cartridge.
NOTE: Dispose of the used Drum Cartridge as normal office waste or recycle it in
accordance with local regulations.
Remove the new Drum Cartridge from its box. Gently remove the protective sheet from
the Drum Cartridge by pulling up the sealing tape.
Insert the new Drum Cartridge into the slot until the cartridge clicks into place.
Pull the cartridge tape straight out without breaking it.
Insert the Drum Cartridge again to make sure it is still positioned correctly in the slot.
Re-install the Toner Cartridge, and then close the Top Cover / Door.
