sticks, run back and place it in their
teams. Students may only take 3 turns
to try and grab carnival balls.
Scoring: Each item collected is worth 1
point!
Game: Operation
Description of Event: Each team will be split up into lines. The first
student will weave through the spider web and pick up an object
hanging on the lines with the grippers and put it into a container.
Once the first person gets back out of the spider web, the second
person can go. If they touch the
line with their body, a bone, or
the gripper their turn is over
Scoring:


1 Point per bone
100 points for a skull
Game : Pictionary
Description of Event: Students will choose a picture to draw from one
of the three piles. Each group is trying to
solve the picture. If successful, switch the
drawer and award points. If the group is
unsuccessful, no points are awarded, a
new drawer comes up and picks a new
card. Students may pass their turn at any
time.
Scoring: 1 point- Solve a 1-point picture
2 points- Solve a 2-point picture
3 points- Solve a 3-point picture
Game: Memory /Guess Who?
Description of Event: Teams will split up into different groups.
Pictures will be FACE UP in the field. The volunteer will choose a
picture as their “guess who person”. Students will ask the volunteer
one clue (is it a girl?) and then go flip over all the pictures that don’t
match that description. The
class will do this until they
can guess the right person.
Scoring: Correct guess 25
points
Game: Battleship
Description of Event:
Two volleyball nets will
be set up with a
parachute covering it.
The first person in line
will take the ball and
throw it over the net.
The object of the game is
to throw the ball over the net to hit a bowling pin a boogie board.
Once the first person has thrown, they go to the end of the line and
the next person takes a turn.
Scoring: 10 points per pin, 50 points per boat, 500 points for entire
fleet
Game: Connect 4
Description of Events: Each team will
split up into two lines. Red will be going
against Blue. The first person in each
line will pick up a spot, run down to the
board and place their spot in a hoop.
They must start on the bottom of the
board (bottom of the hill) and work
their way up, just like in real connect 4.
Students can score Up and Down, Left to Right and on a Diagonal.
Scoring: Students receive 50 points for winning
the round. If the game ends in a tie each team is
awarded 5 points per beanbag in the hoops.
Game: Topple
Description of Events: Each team will be divided into two lines at each
set of wood pieces (teams will stay with their colors at the crate). The
first person in each line will run down
grab a block, run back and
place/balance their block onto the
topple. Be careful, you don’t want the
blocks to topple off!
Scoring:: 1 point per turn. -5 if a piece
falls off (you only lose 5 points no
matter how many pieces fall off).
Game: Scrabble
Description of Event: Each team will be divided into lines. The first
student in line will run out, find a letter, and bring it back to the team.
The next student will run out and get the next letter. Once a word is
completed the team will call over a volunteer to verify and put the
letters back.
Scoring: Students will receive 1
point for each letter they bring
back and a point for every level
in a word!
Game #13 Twister
Description of Events: Teams will split up into one line for every 2
boards. The first two people from each team
will walk up to the board WITHOUT SHOES and
get ready. The volunteer spins the spinner. The
first two people in each group for each team will
complete the task. Continue this process until
someone falls. Once someone falls, that whole
twister board goes to the end of the line and the
next group comes out. The twister board that
didn’t fall continues until someone falls.
Scoring: 5 points for the team that DOESN’T fall
Game: Pretty, Pretty Princess
Description of Event: Players will pick a card
from the box with an article of clothing on it.
If they get a new article they run down to the
bin, put it on (we told the kids they have the
option of wearing it. They are not allowed to
wear the tiaras), and run back. They must
than give the articles to the next person to put on. If they spin and
get something they already have they run down and put that article
back in the bin. If they get something new they add that to their
attire.
Scoring: One point per turn. 100 points at the end of the round if they
have more than 5 items. 500 points if at any point during the game
they collect all 8 pieces.
Game #15 Game Over
Description of Events: This is a rest station. Students will have the
opportunity to get a drink, stop by the restroom, or just take a quick
break before their next station. Teachers will determine where the
class stays during the station.
Game: Break the Ice
Description of Events: Each group will split themselves up in a relay
stylre group (half on one side of the
field, half on the other). The first group
in line will start with one box, and then
add one box every time their group is
successful. With a partner, students
will try to carry paper boxes
horizontally touching across the field
Students must work together to push
the boxes against each other so they
don’t fall. If they make it up successfully points are awarded. If the
boxes fall, they must pick them up and take them to the line they are
going to, and the group starts back at one box. The max amount of
boxes a group can use is 5.
Once K and 1st successfully complete two boxes them may stack them
instead of continuing horizontally (they must always keep 2 boxes
horizontal though).
Scoring: 1 point per box used.
Game: War/24 Game
Description of Game:
War: The first two people in a line will run to the center with a
randomly chosen card. Whoever has the higher card,
get a point, takes a card from the person they
beat, and runs back to their line. The next person
than goes. If there is a tie, the students put the
card on the ground and the next group plays for 2
points and 2 cards.
Scoring: 1 point for each win.
Description of Game
24 Game: Each class will split up into 3 groups based off their
challenge level. The whole group will run to the
center spot where the cards are placed. The first
group that gets the question right wins the point(s).
Once a question is answered, both groups have to
run around a set of cones and back to the center
spot where the next card will be waiting. The
winning team’s cones are closer than the losing team’s cones, giving
them a small advantage.
NOTE: After one minute if no one has answered, turn is over and no
points awarded. In this case, both teams run around the farthest set
of cones.
Scoring: See the number of dots on the card (1-3 points)
Game: UNO
Description of Game: Students will be split up into 4 lines at each UNO
set-up. The first person in line will
pick a card and run into the center
where the volunteer will be
waiting. If the person matches
color, number, or both they get a
point and run back. The next
person in line will then go. If there
is a draw 2 color, that color gets double the points. If there is a wild
card, the highest number gets the point.
Scoring: 1 point for each win.
2 points for matching a DRAW 2.
4 points for matching a DRAW 4 wild
10 points for exact match (color and number)
