To whom it concerns,
I am writing to let you know about the event we are holding here at The Gatehouse on 25th
September 2015.
We are holding a casino evening from 8PM – 11PM whereby players can purchase “fun
money” and try their hand at roulette and blackjack. All the proceeds will be donated to
Macmillan Cancer research.
The Main reason I am writing to you today though is to see if you would be willing and
able to donate a prize for the guests to win. This in turn will encourage people to play if
they have something to strive towards causing us to potentially raise more money for this
fantastic cause.
Macmillan are currently wanting the NHS and benefits system to consider the specific needs of
cancer patients, so that they do not have to personally bear the cost of their treatment. They want
the health service and social care services to treat the person, not just the disease, and they want
cancer treatment and care to remain a priority for the Government.
I would be extremely grateful for whatever you are able to provide but even if you are
unable to provide a prize at this time as a donation you are of cause more than welcome
to join us for fun and games on the evening and show your support by being involved.
