 Position Summary
The Volunteer Donated Product Coordinator will combine their enthusiasm and passion for Red Cross with
their networking skills and initiative to engage with the community and local/national retail businesses to
secure quality product donations for Australian Red Cross retail stores. The Volunteer Donated Product
Coordinator will work with the National Junior Buyer to generate fresh, new, innovative and creative
approaches to secure product donations from the public.
 Position Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
 To obtain quality product donations from a variety of sources with a focus on identified key product
categories
 Utilising existing relationships with retailers and the community to secure product donations whilst
continuing to network with new businesses to build of donation levels
 To maintain relationships existing donors to ensure ongoing stock donations
 Maintain accurate records of all stock acquired and assist the National Junior Buyer when required with
reporting, using these records
 In consultation with the National Junior Buyer and team, continually identify and implement strategies to
improve and expand on total amount of product donations acquired using innovative and creative
approaches
 Working in collaboration with the National Junior Buyer and team to continually assess and review
existing materials and identify opportunities to streamline and improve tools
 Either working in a team or autonomously, execute donation procurement campaigns in designated
regions across Melbourne
 Represent Red Cross in a professional manner at all times

 Ability to self manage and use initiative and a track record for delivering outcomes within agreed
timeframes
 Ideal but not essential, experience in a Fundraising/Events Management role of a not-for-profit or
education sector organisation
 Proven developed organisational and time management skills
 Excellent records management
 Basic proficiency in MS Office or similar software and experience using databases
 Ability to work autonomously or within a team to deliver results
Qualifications/Licenses
 A Victorian or Australian license and/or mode of reliable transport
 A Victorian Police check is a mandatory requirement for this role
