BUILD A CALENDAR
Note : How to create a collective and shareable calendar - to a large extent - follows the same process of creating a
publication. It would be useful to familiarize yourself with the lexicon publication module .
Actually, the calendar is one of shapes that takes the publication at the time of the display. Instead of presenting
the events list, items appear sensibly stowed in boxes of a genuine monthly calendar. By clicking on the event
calendar, drive called the Scriptor page that describes either a ToolTip which summarizes.
PROCEDURE FOR CREATING A CALENDAR
Create a calendar is a complex operation that requires precision and thoroughness. However, the calendar to view

(1) BUILD A MASTER PAGE

(2) CREATE THE CALENDAR AND NAME IT

To create a calendar, click the publications and blog tab
in the menu bar.
In the publications management window click Add a new publication.

items at the bottom of the Properties page of the publication.
CALENDAR VISUAL PROPERTIES
Here are the main Visual Calendar editable properties by the head of desk (if you change any settings, Scriptor will
apply its own settings, the system can work if you change any of the following):
• Background color.
• Background image.
• Smart image.
• Previous arrow and next arrow.
• Page Scriptor (that merges with the page calendar of events; if no page is specified, the calendar
appears nevertheless).
• Border, the month and month text background color.
• Size of the month
• Color background and the text of the day of the week.
• Size of the day of the week
• Color background and the text of the day.
• Size days.
• Background color of the current day.
All these properties are editable from the Calendar section in the publications management window.
VISUAL PROPERTIES OF THE CALENDAR GRID EL EMENTS
Following main Visual properties of the calendar items. These properties determine the Visual elements of the day
of the calendar check box; they also appear in the archives page. Although these properties are chosen by the
head of desk as default values for items, it is possible for the applicant to change at the time of publication by
choosing to view the details button on the item. You can choose to adjust the following:
• Size, font, alignment, color and style of the title.
• Event link (the link can be activated from an image, hyperlink, or in the title of the event).
• Size, font, style, justification and color summary.
All these properties are changed from the defaults element section in publications management window.
Note : You can vary the nature of the links to the event; vary the nature of the links is a clever break the visual
monotony calendar.
To exit the window, click the Save button to keep your changes.
(3) LINK THE CALENDAR TO THE MASTER
The first time the calendar, the head of desk should ensure that applicants have access to at least one (1) master.

properties window.
In the calendar templates window, search the desired master by starting the General search with icon

Then click on the Search button to locate the Scriptor page you have built as a template template to convey details

(4) MAKE THE CALENDAR ACCESSIBLE BY A HYPERLINK
When all the steps described above are completed, the calendar is functional and you can make it accessible by a
hyperlink. To do this, you must choose the page in which you create the hyperlink that will allow to view the
calendar: locate an insertion point in your main page and click.
Then click on the link tab in the Toolbox.
In the Edit Hyperlink, window register name hyperlink in the link name box. Then check the archives (publishing),
and then click the Search button
. In search of publications, window choose the relevant calendar list: clicking
on the icon you start a general search, by clicking on the initial title of the desired calendar, you start an
alphabetical search.
Finally click the select Schedule button to choose the desired calendar and be sure to check the box open in a new
window if you deem relevant and specify the size of the window (usually 600 X 450 pixels is a good dimension).

explanation of the technique of inserting hyperlinks). The calendar is now available from the Scriptor page where
you just insert the hyperlink.
Note : Note insertion of the letter "C" before the number of calendar box archives (publication). This insertion is
done automatically as soon as your choice of paper points to a calendar: Scriptor automatically recognizes. So
when the letter "C" appears before a number of publication, the link will always be a player in a calendar
containing the items in each box Suitable daily. Theoretically we could modulate the display of a publication in two
forms: :_A) either in the form of a list of standard publication b) the other sub form of a monthly calendar.
ANNOUNCE AN EVENT IN THE CALENDAR
Here are the steps by the depositor to publish an item in a calendar. It should be noted seven (7) separate steps.
(1) CHOOSE THE CALENDAR DIRECTORY PUBLICATIONS
To publish an event to a calendar, locate publications and blog tab
in the navigation bar and click.
Search among calendars available that which corresponds to the calendar in which you want to publish an event.
Click on the
icon on the letter corresponding to the initial title of the desired calendar.
(2) VIEW ALL EVENTS CALENDAR
Click on the

When you want to change the properties of a publication, click the

(3) CLICK "ADD ITEM".
In the management of calendar items, window click the Add item button to display the window input a new item.
(4) COMPLETE FIELDS "TITLE" AND "SUMMARY".
In the item properties window specify the name that will appear in the calendar as well as the summary of the
event day box as it will appear in the archives page.
(5) THE DATES ON THE CALENDAR MANAGEMENT
In the item properties window, select the date (start date and date display) to suit your publication project.
Note : When you choose to add an image from the directory to visually indicate an event, this image will be
displayed in the calendar and the event title will be automatically displayed in a ToolTip when the cursor on the
image.
Then specify the event status indicating whether this element should be displayed at any time. If this is the case,
the item will appear immediately in the calendar. Otherwise, it will be activated on the date designated for
heading date display. Start Date indicates the item is in the database archives; if the date display is greater than
the start date, published element will be displayed in archives the same day (day of the start date), but will appear
in the calendar box shown next, or later. If the show any time is not selected, element remains present in the
database without however appear in the calendar.
Tip : You can distribute all important events in the administrative calendar of your institution in the year by
scheduling in advance the annual calendar. To do this, publish for each event "new item" and control its location
on the calendar by "playing" with the date display. So you can prepare your vows 'good year' simply indicating that
the item you post must register for calendar year 01-01...
(7) SAVE THE ITEM
When all fields have been successfully completed, click the Save button.
