GEOGLAM Status within CEOS
• CEOS Acquisition Strategy for GEOGLAM to be
presented for endorsement next week at CEOS
Plenary
– SDCG should consider an ACTION to conduct a
brief review and assessment (2-3 pages) of how
this strategy might overlap, conflict, and/or
complement

GEOGLAM Status within CEOS
• CEOS ad hoc Working Group for GEOGLAM
considering a name change
– Suggestion was made at the SIT Workshop to
stress that the CEOS group was working on space
data coordination, rather than GEOGLAM
coordination
• Suggested name discussed was the “Space
Data Coordination Group for GEOGLAM”
– Current plan is not to propose a change at Plenary

SCDG for GEOGLAM - Issues
• Shared naming with SDCG for GFOI implies a
level of coordination that is not currently
enshrined
• Risks confusion
But …
• Coordination should be happening – hard
