Module Approval Form

MAF
MODULE APPROVAL FORM
(MAF)
Departments seeking Institute approval for the introduction of new or substantially restructured modules
must complete this form. New or substantially revised modules should be considered by an appropriate
Institute Learning and Teaching Committee. Staff should ensure that they have consulted with colleagues in
related areas to identify possible overlap of provision, and also with the Timetable Office and Information
Services. The final version of the form will be held on a central SharePoint site maintained by AQRO.
Where a Welsh/English language version of an approved module is proposed, provided that the new module
is a direct replica of an approved module and that there are no changes to the learning outcomes or
methods of assessment there is no requirement to provide evidence of independent scrutiny; however the
information required for the module database should be provided on this form in the appropriate language.
Please note that the fields shaded in blue will appear on the module database
