Being part of St. Laurence is being part of the St. Laurence family!
There is a lovely atmosphere in the school generally. Children are polite and
most are enthusiastic about their learning.
The team works well together.
The children are a pleasure to teach.
The children are always put first. There is a creative approach to learning.
An excellent range of after school clubs available.
The focus is on the key values of the school.
We all work together as a team to drive the school forward.
Our children are supported by kind and caring staff in order for each and every
one of them to reach their true potential.
There is excellent pastoral care.
There is a strong vision for the future.
The strong Christian ethos and values are shared by pupils and staff.
There is a caring and supportive environment for pupils and staff.
We all know where we are going.
Good support for less able children and those with emotional difficulties.
We have worked so hard as a team to improve and develop teaching and
learning.
I have no reservations asking colleagues for support or advice
There is a sense in belonging to something great. The school is very well run.
We are a Christian school. The staff are extremely dedicated and hard working.
We work tirelessly to provide the children with an exciting and engaging school
environment.
We have strong links with the church and the community.
The school is a warm and engaging environment which promotes Christian
values effectively.
What we would like to change:
More flexibility for subject leader time.
More team around the family meetings .
Review our current rewards system.
Review our system for booking ipads/laptops.
Greater opportunities for parent/child to take part in activities.
Continue to develop the Creative curriculum including timetabling.
Continue to use teachers with specialist skills across other areas.
Continue to develop behaviour strategies so that our whole school approach is
enhanced.
Less formal observations, drop ins and learning walks ( although fully
understands why this has been necessary).
Continue to develop mental and emotional well- being as this will have an
impact on behaviour and learning.
