February 3rd – Winter Walk Day – On the first Wednesday of February each
year, hundreds of thousands of Albertans take it outside to celebrate living
in a beautiful winter province. Students will walk for 15 minutes during P.E.
time (outside if the weather cooperates that day).
February 11th – 100th Day – We will have a mini celebration of this
landmark day with 100 work in math. If students could bring a bag of 100
items, we will be able to count and compare with classmates. (cheerios, paper
clips, etc. small items please).
February 12th –Valentine’s Day Party – Students will rotate through the 2-3
classes and participate in a variety of activities. They will have a snack and
open their Valentine’s in their own classes after recess. Parents will be
contacted by our room rep. Mrs. Davis for a reminder, if it is their turn to
bring a snack for this event. Please ensure that your child has their
Valentine cards at school before this day. A class list of names has been
sent home, if you require another please send a note in your child’s agenda.
February 23rd – School Spirit Day! (Black and White Day). Dress in black and
white. Our stars for the month and our Leader will be recognized at our
assembly on this day.
February 29th – No School – PD Day for teachers.
March 1st and 3rd – Student-led conferencing (4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.)
Invitations will come out Feb. 23rd.
