1 Photovoltaic (PV) Panels
To convert light energy into electricity in the form of DC current.
2 Adjustable Array Structure
PV array tilt is easily adjustable from 30-60 degrees to maximize
solar energy.
3 Control Centre
The control enclosure for housing the power distribution
components (DC Controller/distribution, inverter and AC
distribution), disconnects the system monitor and appropriate wire
terminals. Enclosure is provided with rainproof vents and a ground
fault protected electrical outlet. Optional remote monitoring
equipment is available.
4 Inverter/Battery Charger
Microprocessor-controlled and sine wave inverter with
temperature-compensated battery charger.
5 DC Controller
Solar charge control with battery temperature compensation and
automatic night time disconnect.
6 AC Distribution Panel
Output AC breaker panel provides surge protection and flexibility

Provides PV circuit disconnects and lightning/surge protection for

Sealed batteries are housed in a powder-coated steel, lockable
enclosure with filtered vents. Flooded batteries are housed in an
insulated, vented thermoplastic unit with lockable lid and drain
plug. Designed to minimize battery temperature extremes,
eliminate battery bank hot spots, prevent freezing and extend
useful battery life.

Array Junction Box
Array Junction Box is meant for combining all the incoming lines from the solar panel strings/arrays
and deriving one common array output for the multiple array inputs.

Rittal PK Series Poly Carbonate boxes are exclusively available for this application with transparent &
plain window and quick fit screws. Polyamide Gland with different sizes are available. Conforms 25

The System: Solutions for Grid Invertors
Grid tied inverters are key components in a grid tie solar power system. The grid tie inverter connects to the electrical system and power grid.
As with all solar inverters, grid tie inverters convert the DC from the solar panels and turn it into AC energy used by common household items.

Rittal Solution for Solar Thermal Power Plants
In Solar Thermal Power Plant- power towers (alsoknown as 'central tower' power plants or 'heliostat'
power plants) capture and focus the sun's thermal energy with thousands of tracking mirrors (called
heliostats) in roughly a two square mile field. A tower resides in the centre of the heliostat field. The
heliostats focus concentrated sunlight on a receiver which sits on top of the tower. Within the receiver
the concentrated sunlight heats molten salt to over 1000 degrees Fahrenheit. The heated molten salt
then flows into a thermal storage tank where it is stored, maintaining 98% thermal efficiency, and
eventually pumped to a steam generator. The steam drives a standard turbine to generate electricity.
This process, also known as the "Rankine cycle" is similar to a standard coal-fired power plant, except
it is fueled by clean and free solar energy.
