A Housing First Approach Behavioral Health Education Treatment Needs Income Landlord Relationship Lowering Barriers to Programs: Complex and unnecessary screening criteria was causing substantial challenges in connecting families to housing through coordinated entry and had a disparate impact on communities of color. “The coordinated entry process does not screen people out for assistance because of perceived barriers to housing or services, including, but not limited to, lack of employment or income, drug or alcohol use, or having a criminal record.
