We have recently aligned with That’s Mine Labels to contribute to our fundraising efforts. The system is simple – when purchasing labels through the website, select our school from the drop down menu and make your order. All orders will be dispatched directly to you. For all orders received (that are aligned to Iona Presentation Primary School), the P&F will receive a commission each quarter. Commissions received will be directed towards the Nature Play Project currently being scoped by the P&F. That’s Mine Labels has a full range of name tags and labels including Shoe Labels, Pencil Labels, Return Address Labels and sturdy colourful Bag Tags to ensure your kids are organised for the new school year. Next time you, family and friends need labels, direct them to That’s Mine Labels and assist us with our fundraising goals! Presidents Report 2014 I’d like to open tonight with a Welcome and Thank You to ALL of our supporters. Though we only formed as an Association in May this year, the cooperation and drive I have already witnessed amongst our Teachers, Parents, Friends, and School Management, has been remarkable. We all share the same desire - to support our primary school students and educators with every opportunity that we can. A large number of you have willingly provided your support, and/or made generous donations, repeatedly in recent months, and I would like to sincerely thank you again on behalf of the P&F. Since May, we have exceeded expectations and raised just over $50,000 and this has enabled the purchase of much needed iPads; Musical Instruments, and preliminary work on a Nature Playground. Through your generous donations of time, we have also managed to successfully coordinate a Walkathon, Disco, Cocktail Party, Open Night, and Sports Carnival Stalls. All of these things have been achieved despite the fact we are a very young and evolving Association. Congratulations to all on the achievements to date. As we look to the future, I believe it will be important and valuable for all of us to commit to two things: 1. Remain open to the inputs of Teachers, Parents and Carers in our future decisionmaking. I am pleased to advise we have already commenced communications, and are now affiliated with, the P&F Federation. The Federation strongly promotes the ongoing engagement of these parties in P&Fs at all Catholic Schools. Most importantly, we could communicate with interested Parents about ‘how’ their children are being educated, so Parent communications are wider than just making donations. 2.I believe it is also important to celebrate and communicate our successes as it encourages buy-in, builds momentum, and generates creative suggestions from our wider community members. To continue to attract the time and monetary investments we have in the last seven months, we will need to ‘spread the load’ amongst our Supporters and at the same time, share our successes as they happen. I have a vision for Iona Primary. That vision is that we actively communicate all that we are doing in a timely manner before and after events, so that we allow sufficient time to receive the very best inputs and ideas of our most important stakeholders’. Our Board is another key stakeholder I am hopeful we can engage more with in 2015, so at all levels we are all aligned and working to the same agreed policies, procedures and guidelines. Finally, I can advise we have already developed a draft 2015 Event Calendar and it is full of fun, friend-raising and fundraising initiatives. If you would like to see it, please email [email protected] for a copy. Hopefully we will be able to also have the events added to the calendar on the school website. I’ll close now by saying thank you again. Each and every one of you has made a huge difference in this short seven months and I look forward to working with you, and to receiving your ideas and thoughts in 2015.
