Mindfulness is a way of paying attention to the present
moment, just as it is.
Learning to live more mindfully reduces our stress levels
and increases our capacity to cope, both with troubling
thoughts and feelings as well as with the challenges of
change, loss, pain, illness and uncertainty.
Mindfulness-based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) is an eightweek group program designed to help those with a history
of recurrent depression reduce the risk of relapse. It
also tends to impact positively on general health and wellbeing.
Classes consist of gentle meditations, discussion, reflective exercises and practical skills that, when practiced regularly, positively impact on many areas of life.
Booking for this small daytime class requires a referral by
your GP, psychologist or organization.
