When are games rescheduled in the CDSFA? The CDSFA tries to reschedule all competitive games that are not played on their original scheduled date because of weather, State Cup, unforeseen circumstances etc. In the past this has meant that some teams play on the Saturday and Sunday of the same weekend. Poastponed games for Under 6,7,8,9,10 and 11’s are not rescheduled by the Association The CDSFA sets aside two catchup weekends during the season where games are not scheduled(except for 10 and 12 team divisions). These weekends are the June long weekend(June 11/12 and 13) and the middle week of the July school holidays(July 9/10). Teams in 10 and 12 team divisions will be allocated a double header round (ie play Saturday and Sunday of the same weekend)in the first 6 weeks of the season If games are washed out or not played for any reason(except for postponements caused by the State Cup), where possible these weekends will be allocated for these games not played. Once these two weekends can not accommodate games , games will be allocated to the alternate day to their normal playing days (ie normal Saturday games will be allocated to a Sunday and normal Sunday games will be allocated to a Saturday). This will mean double headers The Association has extremely limited access to night venues and so only in very rare circumstances will the Association reschedule to a night time. Where a club has night facilities available to play postponed matches, and wish to schedule a postponed game to the night, the club must notify the Competition Secretary the date, time and venue of such rescheduling BEFORE the Competition Secretary reschedules the match. The Comp Secretary endeavours to reschedule postponed matches on the Monday following the postponement. Matches that are caused by State Cup commitments are usually scheduled prior to the State Cup game being played, so if the Club wishes to reschedule such a match to the night, then this must be done as soon as the State Cup schedule is known. Games that are postponed because of State Cup commitments will be played as soon as possible after their original scheduled date. Saturday teams that enter the State Cup will not have their games rescheduled. This will mean they will play on the Saturday and on the Sunday. Clubs wishing to reschedule matches between themselves should have knowledge of Rule 1.9.3.6 Clubs that wish to object to a RESCEDULED match should have knowledge of Rule 1.9.4
