Introduction:
Toyota was started in 1933, its Japanese company it was founded by Kiichiro
Toyoda, they produces automobiles, commercial vehicles, engines, motorcycles.
They have branches all over the world. What makes it successful company the
five principals that thy followed in their work which is challenge, improvement,
go and see, respect and teamwork.
1. Do you think Toyota has succeeded because of its team-oriented culture, or do
you think it would have succeeded without it?
I think that Toyota has succeeded because of its team oriented culture, if they were in
one team it will be easier to do things and reach their goals and be stronger.
2. Do you think you would be comfortable working in Toyota’s culture? Why or
why not?
I will be comfortable because we are all in one team and no competitor.
3. In response to the recession and the firm’s first-ever quarterly loss,
Toyota’s managers accepted a 10 percent pay cut in 2009 to avoid
employee layoffs. Do you think such a response is a good means of
promoting camaraderie? What are the risks in such a plan?
Yes, and to strengthen the staff and make them feel excited and make them
feel their value and their importance the company.
4. Recently, DCH Group, a company comprised of 33 auto dealerships,
decided to adapt Toyota’s culture to its own, particularly its emphasis on
teamwork. DCH’s CEO, Susan Scarola said, “Trying to bring it down to
day-to-day operations is though. It was not something that everybody
immediately embraced, even at the senior level. Do you think the culture
will work in what is typically the dog-eat-dog world of auto dealerships?
Why or why not?
I don't feel like this is there style or the way that big company like TAYOTA
works with, because company like TOYOTA work hard for their name and
when they compete with another company it will be in appropriate way to go
with their values such as shearing good ideas, imagine a better world, see
what's possible, to think big and make great things happen.
Conclusion:
In conclusion the teamwork is very important to any company to succeed in their
work and achieves their gales to be one of the big companies that compete the others
and be in the top like what TAYOTA company does.
