3. Collaborative behaviors 6:30- 7 PM On a scrap piece of paper, students take 5 minutes to Instructor

write down a problem they are having as a teacher or Small groups
a problem you know a teacher in your school is
having. Instructor collect papers. Review Ch. 15 in
Custom text. Examine behaviors on collaborative
continuum – Figure 10.1. Instructor pass out student
situations. In groups of 3, have students select one of
the situations from among the papers their group has,
assign one student to be the teacher, one to be the
supervisor, and one to be an observer. “Teacher” and
“Supervisor” role play a conference practicing a
collaborative approach to solving the problem while
“Observer” takes notes. At end of role play,
“observer” share notes and all students reflect on
discussion.
