NAESB WEQ Board and Executive Committee Request for Nominations
November 14, 2011
Dear Wholesale Electric Quadrant Members and Trade Associations:
A nominations period begins today, November 14, 2011, and ends on December 14, 2011 for the WEQ seats on the Board
of Directors and Executive Committee with terms dates ending December 31, 2011, and for several seats that have
become vacant. The vacancies, and incumbents interested in continuing in their positions, are shown below.
Additionally, all vacancies and term dates are reflected in the attached Board and Executive Committee Roster.
With this request for nominations, the WEQ Leadership Committee has asked that actions be taken on long-standing
vacancies that fall under sections 7.5 and 10.5 of the WEQ Procedures. In taking actions, the seats which have been
reclassified as “at large” AND the term expires December 31, 2011 will revert to its original sub-segment
designation. If within 15 days of this notice no member of the original sub-segment comes forward, the seat will go
back to “at large” and the incumbent interested in retaining the seat will be considered as a nominee. Those seats
that have been reclassified are noted with a double asterick (“**”). For seats that have no candidate identified or we have
been unable to confirm with the incumbents, the seat is highlighted in yellow. We understand this process is very
confusing. Please do not hesitate to contact me should you have questions.
Should you or anyone from your organization be interested in serving on either the Board or Executive Committee, please

the holidays, if an election is required, it will be held during the two-week period of January 3-17, 2012. Please note that
anyone interested in running for the WEQ Board or Executive Committee must be current NAESB members in that
