YANKEE SWAP RULES
1. Draw a number from a hat.
2. #1 picks an artist off the table, first.
3. #2 can either steal #1’s or grab a new artist off the table, that has not been chosen
- If #1 is stolon from, they pick a new one off the table.

4. # 3 can either steal #1’s or #2’s, or can choose a new artist off the table.
-If #1 or #2 are stolen from, they can steal from the other player that has not
yet been taken from that round, or, pick a new artist off of the table.
-The original chooser of the round may not be stolen from that round, and
any one person can only be stolen from once per round.
5. Continue the cycle until everyone has chosen an artist.
6. At the last, #1 gets to choose to keep what they have, or to steal one last time.
7. At the very end, there will be a 3 minute “black-market” social where anyone may
trade their artist directly with anyone else, or trade with what is left on the table.

1. Look at your reference images and draw AT LEAST 4 thumbnail ideas for a
composition.

2. Once you have an idea you like, go in search of reference material to help you draw
what your idea more detailed and more successfully.

3. Use your reference material to draw a detailed larger scale mock-up of exactly what
you want your image to look like.

4. Make 3 paper copies of your drawing high quality finished drawing

6. Practice acrylic painting on 1 or 2 of your copied drafts and than paint your real
draft. (MAKESURE TO KEEP 1 COPY IN RESERVE)

7. Vote on the 6 final designs on MayDiego
