Customers for these above-noted HP 1910 Gigabit Switches can order the new HP 1920 Gigabit Switches. Except for closeout sales and promotional offers, the new switches released on September 29, 2014, are generally priced at parity with
the 1910 switches they replace, and they come with an enhanced feature-set.
Important Note: HP will continue to ship the 1910 Fast Ethernet Switches which remains HP’s flagship advanced smart
managed Fast Ethernet switch product line.
In the US market, the promotional “smartbuy” equivalents of these SKUs are also impacted by this End of Sale
Announcement. End-of-Sale timing follows the dates for the base SKU.

Notable enhancements of the new HP 1920 Gigabit Switches include:





Energy Efficient models. All 1920 models are EEE compliant.
IEEE 802.3at compliant PoE+ 1920 models. 1910 PoE models support IEEE 802.3af PoE only.
1920 8-port models come with 2 SFP ports whereas 1910 equivalent models just have one SFP port.
1920 models support 8 hardware queues whereas 1910 models just four hardware queues.
1920 models support more ACL table entries.
