These directions are to establish a connection to the eduroam network which will automatically reconnect
without requiring your credentials each time. When following this method to connect to eduroam you will be
registered on the eduroam global wifi roaming for academia system, be able to travel to any participating
eduroam institution and use their network. Connecting to eduroam via any other method will not register you on
the global wifi roaming system.
You must be on an existing network connection. If on a USF campus use the ‘USF’ network connection to
access the website for client installation.
Once connected, follow the steps below.
Go to http://usf.edu/netconnect
The Acceptable Use Policy will appear. Read the terms and
conditions and then check the box indicating agreement:
To proceed click the Start > button.
Two options will appear. Select the option that best fits you.
Select USF System Students and Employees network if you are a
USF staff member, faculty or student.
Select USF Health network if you are affiliated with USF Health. All
Health affiliates must choose this option to securely connect to Health
resources within the Health buildings.
USF System Students and Employees
When you select the USF Staff or Student network, the screen
depicted below should appear.
Enter your USF NetID and password and click the Continue > button.
USF Health
When you select the USF Health network, the screen depicted below
should appear.
Enter your USF Health username and password and click the
Continue > button.
You may be
asked if you would like to save your
password in Safari (or other webbrowser) for this website. If so,
choose according to your desire.
Click on the ‘Download for Mac OS X’ ‘Cloudpath.zip’ link.
A file will download to your chosen download location (the ‘Download’ folder is the default)
- find this file and double click the ‘Cloudpath’ application.
Click on ‘Open’ when you receive the
‘…Are you sure you want to open it?’
request.
The ‘Cloudpath’ installer will launch and begin installing
and configuring the ‘eduroam’ network.
You will receive up to four requests for authentication these are the certificates being installed.
Enter your computers’ password to install the security
certificates and continue with the setup.
After this, the installer should move on thru the remainder of
the checklist on the left

 Configure
 Authenticate
 Validate Connectivity
 Connected
When completed should receive a ‘Successfully connected.’
final screen.
Your Wi-Fi connection will automatically switch to
‘eduroam’.
Welcome to the USF ‘eduroam’ wireless network!
