Creeks Baseball Club ParentPlayer Agreement-1

Creeks Baseball Club
Parent/Player Agreement
CBC Goals
Our goals are to promote the development of baseball skills through the teaching of advanced
fundamentals and techniques while emphasizing the importance of good sportsmanship and
having fun! While CBC actively supports the development of individual skills and goals, we
stress the more important goal of team work during practice and games. Our motto is,
“Striving for Baseball Excellence”.
Parent Code of Conduct
Parental attitudes and behaviors greatly influence those of our children, and proper parental
involvement can provide the ultimate positive example. However, negative parental attitudes
and behaviors have the opposite influence on our children and do much more harm than
good. Vocal outbursts and negative comments made during a game or practice are too often
overheard by the kids and their coaches and create an atmosphere that makes it extremely
difficult, if not impossible, for the players to perform and have fun. This type of negative
behavior is disruptive and will not be tolerated. CBC has a zero tolerance policy in regards to
any type of physical violence.
If a parent is unhappy with something a coach has done, they should address the problem
with the manager/coach at an appropriate time. An appropriate time is not before, during or
immediately after a game. If the problem persists, the CBC Board of Directors may become
involved.
Player Code of Conduct
Players must be respectful of the coaches, umpires, and other players at all times. Players
must always put what is good for CBC and their team ahead of their individual wants and
goals. Disruptive behavior will not be tolerated. CBC has a zero tolerance policy in regards
to any type of physical violence.
Commitment
Once a parent/player commits to becoming a member of a CBC team for the current season,
the parent/player recognizes that it is a binding commitment. Players may only play on that
particular CBC team, unless they have the written consent of their manager/head coach to
play on another team.
If a player voluntarily or involuntarily leaves a CBC team after they have committed to being
a member of the team for the current season, the player will be prohibited from returning to
his former team or from playing for any other team sanctioned by CBC for the remainder of
the current season and for an additional period of one year from the conclusion of the current
season. Any and all monies paid to the player’s CBC team prior to the player’s voluntary
departure would be forfeited. Exceptions to this rule may be granted by the CBC Board of
Directors on a case-by-case basis only when there is a justifiable reason for the player not
honoring his commitment. Such exceptions would be considered for lengthy illnesses,
injuries, moving from the area, etc.
I have read the foregoing the parent/player agreement it its entirety, and fully
understand its contents and agree to be bound by all of the rules and provisions set
forth in the agreement.
