Do you feel passionate about biking, walking, transit, and getting around Sausalito without driving alone? Sausalito is a beautiful place to walk and bike, and you can help make it even better by becoming a Way to Go volunteer. Way to Go volunteers are part of the Way to Go team and encourage motorists, pedestrians, cyclists, and transit riders to travel safely together and share the road. Activities include bike rides, walks, classes, and appearing at community events. Volunteers commit to a minimum of two events during the Summer 2008 event season. Selected Way to Go volunteer applicants receive a 3-hour training on the information and skills necessary to talk with the public about all of Sausalito’s transportation options. Additionally, volunteers get an official Way to Go Sausalito t-shirt, a variety of walking, biking, and transit incentives throughout the summer, and an opportunity to expand their knowledge and skills.
