Advanced ATP Hygiene Monitoring System A Better Hygiene System Robust, lightweight handheld unit Unique, innovative samplers RFID site recognition technology option Intuitive Data Manager software Hygiene Monitoring Hygiene monitoring is at the core of every food safety program. With a growing global population that consistently demands more, higher quality food, the importance of hygiene monitoring will only increase. A good hygiene monitoring program can highlight problems before products ever reach the public. Stopping these issues early not only protects public health, but it also protects brand integrity. Up to 35 percent of food recalls are related to poor hygiene. Many of these may have been prevented if effective monitoring programs were in place. ATP hygiene monitoring systems have been used in food production facilities since the late 1980s. They originally consisted of desktop instruments with swabs that required manually mixing the reagents prior to insertion. The past 25 years have seen a lot of changes in ATP hygiene monitoring technology evolving to today’s convenient, hand-held instruments, fully self-contained sampling devices and software to keep track of historical test results. The AccuPoint® 2 System Neogen’s AccuPoint 2 features an intuitive interface and an easy-to-use format. The system provides an economical, fast and accurate way to monitor facilities’ cleanliness by measuring the amount of adenosine triphosphate (ATP) on surfaces or in liquids. All living things produce ATP, making it an efficient method for tracking hygiene. AccuPoint 2 swabs are superior The system also supports a range of samplers that help ensure surfaces and liquids are fully sampled, unlike traditional swabs that can miss vast areas of the sample site. Traditional swab sample pattern AccuPoint sample pattern Three sampler designs to suit your specific application AccuPoint Surface Sampler Consistency is the key to a successful hygiene monitoring program. AccuPoint’s Surface Sampler is the perfect choice for consistent sampling of most food contact surfaces, from flat food prep areas to all types of processing equipment. AccuPoint Access Sampler AccuPoint’s unique Access Sampler was created specifically for testing tight spaces, such as filler heads. Its easy-to-use design provides consistently accurate results. AccuPoint Liquid Sampler AccuPoint’s Liquid Samplers feature precision engineered collection pads and reagents to make them the samplers of choice for accurately sampling liquid for the presence of ATP. RFID – Radio Frequency Identification RFID Site Recognition Technology Hygiene monitoring has become easier and more streamlined with the AccuPoint 2, which now features radio frequency identification (RFID) technology. The new system, coupled with updated Data Manager software, saves facilities precious resources that otherwise would be devoted to developing complex and time-consuming test plans. RFID tag, actual size What is RFID? Radio-frequency identification (RFID) typically involves 2 components: an antenna and RFID tags. The passive tags emit no signal and have an embedded 16 character alphanumeric code. How does it work? Use the Data Manager software to program a tag for each Group. Then place the sign with embedded tags in the plant near each production line. Before testing, hold the AccuPoint’s antenna near a tag. The reader automatically reads the Group from the tag. Depending on settings, either a random site or the first site in the group will be displayed. Once testing is complete, simply press the eject button and the next site is displayed. To test the next Group, simply read the next RFID tag. A better way to collect, interpret and present ATP test results. Collect RFID technology makes it easy to collect ATP test results. It drastically cuts testing time by allowing the AccuPoint reader to scan and automatically pull appropriate test site information. After initially placing RFID tags, all it takes is a quick scan to instantly associate that tag with related sites. Interpret Present AccuPoint’s Data Manager software provides a better way to interpret test data. Easily produce reports and preserve your test data. • Results by site group • Establish a performance objective for cleaning and then track results against that objective • Results by test sites • Automatically sync the reader to the software when it senses a change in the test plan or new test results • Results by date ranges • Results ranked by highest percentage of fails • Trends by monthly averages Data Manager Software V3 AccuPoint’s software allows users to: •Upload results to a PC or network drive •Tailor Pass and Fail thresholds specific to processes •Trend data with out of the box report builder using simple click-by-click filter technology •Export data to PDF, Microsoft Word or Excel to email to colleagues or customers •Create objectives to improve hygiene monitoring Results are presented in a clear chart format with ATP readings colour coded for extra clarity. Accumulated results can be graphed across a variety of criteria for clear analysis of results and trends. When monitoring hygiene, it’s all about action. It’s all about AccuPoint.
