Hayley talks her way into the next round
THE Lions club of Maleny
Blackall Range's Youth of
the Year entrant Hayley
Venturini took part in the
Lions Club Youth of The
Year Quest at Tranquil Park
Restaurant.
Prior to the public
speaking section, the
Maleny State High School
student attended a formal
interview with the judges.
Before an audience of 57
people, Hayley gave
excellent answers to two
impromptu questions and
presented her pre-prepared
speech on the subject of

soccer, a sport Hayley is
passionate and
knowledgeable about.
Hayley will now go on to
compete with others at the
Regional Finals in
Caloundra on March 8.
Should she be successful,
Hayley will go on to
compete in the district and
possibly state and national
finals.
In August, the Lions club
will seek entrants for the
Quest for the new Lions
Year. If you are between 15
and 19 years of age please
consider entering the
competition.
