Re: School Journey in 2016
We are organising a school journey which will be offered to children in Y4/5/6.
The journey is to Stone Farm Study Centre in Bridestowe, Devon for 5 days from Monday 27th June to Friday
1st July 2016.
Stone Farm is a centre that is highly experienced in catering for school parties, providing a safe environment for
children to learn first hand about farm life. We are also planning a number of trips out to places of educational
interest in the local area. This school journey offers some wonderful learning experiences and activities that we
are unable to offer in the day-to-day classroom setting. Willow Tree pupils have been visiting Stone Farm for a
number of years and have always found this to be a very enjoyable and worthwhile experience.
Participating in a journey such as this will give your child the opportunity to develop their skills of co-operation
whilst also increasing their self-confidence and independence. There will be scope for the children to broaden
their knowledge and experience of rural life.
The cost for the journey will be approximately £290 which includes all transport, accommodation and visits.
If you would like your child to participate in the school journey, we require a deposit of £50 to secure the place.
Places are limited and we would encourage parents to pay with our online facility which automatically secures
places. Payments for the deposit must be made by 3rd November 2015. Please complete and return the attached
slip with the deposit, either cash or via our online facility only (please note that cheques will not be accepted for
the deposit). The deposit is non-refundable, unless the trip is cancelled or your child is not allocated a place.
Reply slips are also available at the Main Reception.
Once your deposit has been received, you will receive confirmation and further information on future payments. If
a place is unavailable you will be informed as soon as possible.
A meeting will be held on Thursday 15th October at 5pm to give you more details about the trip and answer any
questions you may have. However, if you have any questions before then please contact Mrs Panesar.
