TOURNAMENT RULES
GAME TIME:
~ Starting time will be enforced to the minute. There is NO grace period. Teams will be given a
minimum of 3 minute warm-up time. Please be on your court 15 minutes prior to your scheduled game time.
TIME:
~ Grades 7th thru 12th will play (2) 16 minutes halves of regulation.
~ Grades 3rd thru 6th will play (2) 14 minute halves of regulation.
~ 1st overtime shall consist of a 2 minute period, 2nd Overtime is sudden victory ( First team to score )
~ If a team is ahead by 20 points in the second half of the game the clock will not stop unless the score goes under 20 points.
~ 3 minute halftime
BASKETBALL SIZE:
~ According to AAU National rules, Boys 3rd-6th Grade shall use the 28.5 size basketball.
TIME OUTS:
~ Teams will have 3 timeouts per game to utilize. 1-timeout per overtime period. Timeouts DO NOT carry over!
FREE THROWS:
~ Teams will shoot 1 and 1 on the 10th team foul and double bonus on the 12th team foul.
PERSONAL FOULS:
~ Individuals will have 5 fouls. On the 5th personal foul t shall be disqualified.
PRESSING:
~ If a team is ahead by 20 points they may NOT press.
EJECTIONS:
~ Any player or coach ejected from a contest shall sit out the next contest and may be suspended from
participating for the remainder of the tournament. This will be at the discretion of the tournament director.
Admissions:
~ $5.00 Per Day. $8 weekend pass. Children under 10 and Senior Citizens are Free.
Only two coaches permitted per team. (Must Check In)
Table Personnel:
~ Each team will need to provide one person for either the clock or book.
Book must be kept in provided score sheet only!
Champion/Advancement determination (2 day only):
One Day teams are not eligible
Bracket of 4 or 5: The top 2 teams play in the championship
2 Pools of 3:
Seeding will depend on record versus teams in your pool. 1st of one pool will play 1st of the other
pool. 2nd will play 2nd and 3rd will play 3rd to ensure all teams get their 3 guaranteed games.
2 Pools of 4+:
The teams with the best record in each pool will play each other for the championship.
The other teams have completed their 3 guaranteed games.
Tiebreaker:
In the event that head to head does not determine a champion/advancement, point differential
will then be applied. The tied team with the best point differential will be champion/advance.
A cap of 15 points per game.
