PRESS RELEASE
ECRDC RLF Makes First Loan in Chisago County
The East Central Regional Development Commission (ECRDC) Revolving Loan Fund (RLF),
recently authorized to lend to Chisago County Businesses, recently provided financing to
Affinity MedTech, Inc., an expanding business in Chisago City. Affinity MedTech manufactures
hearing protection units, largely for the hunting / shooting sports industries.
Ben Montzka, ECRDC Chair and Chisago County Commissioner, stated: “Affinity MedTech is a
fantastic company that produces a superior hearing protection product. I’m so pleased we are
able to assist in financing their growth here in Chisago County!”
The ECRDC RLF was created in 1994 cooperatively by local units of government and the US
Department of Commerce – Economic Development Administration, to provide financing to
new, expanding and relocating businesses in East Central MN.
The ECRDC is a public agency whose board members are represented by officials appointed by
county boards, townships, municipalities, school boards and citizens at large from Chisago, Mille
Lacs, Pine, Isanti and Kanabec Counties.
