CAMPSITE GUIDELINES
During your stay with us, please help provide a
quality experience for all our visitors.
1. Campsites are available on a first-come, firstserved basis or by reservation. For reservations,
please refer to “Reservations” section. For firstcome, first-served sites, at least one person 18 years of age or older and a proper camp- ing unit must occupy the site the first night. After first night, camping unit may not be left unattended overnight without permis-
sion. Camping unit must occupy site immediately after registration.
2. First-come, first-served campsites will be assigned upon registering at the gatehouse. When a campsite is rented, it cannot be reserved or
re-rented, if properly occupied, until the last day the site has been paid for. You are encouraged to rent or reserve site for entire intended stay. The site may or may not be available for exten-
sion. If you would like to change sites, you must return to gatehouse to allow staff to check avail-
ability, as it may be rented or reserved. We will gladly change your site, if requested, to another, if available. If gatehouse staff is unavailable, refer to the After Hours Notice posted on gatehouse information board.
3. Do not change sites without first checking with gate staff. If you do so, you run the risk of having to move to another site or having your equipment towed at your expense.
4. All camping units and equipment must be placed on prepared gravel sites unless the camping unit requires stakes for use. The camping unit then must be placed within 15 feet of the pad.
(See “Campsite Capacity” for regulations.)
5.Camping is limited to 21 consecutive days on
any site. After 21 days, the camping unit must
be moved from site for a minimum of 7 days
before returning to previously occupied site.
6. Check-out time is 3:30 p.m. and is strictly enforced as an arriving reservation could be
impacted. Late fees may be assessed or your equipment may be towed at your expense.
A $16 fee will be added for late departures.
7. Visitor hours for registered campers is between
7 a.m. and 11 p.m. A $4 visitor fee per vehicle
is charged. (After 11p.m., full camping fee charged.)
8. Quiet hours are between 11 p.m. and 7 a.m.
Please return to your site during quiet hours as a courtesy to others.
9. Generators not permitted during quiet hours.
10. Displaying sale signs, attempting to sell goods
or services, advertising such services, or
distributing written material without a Forest Service permit is prohibited.
11. Shelter buildings are shared with all campers
unless group reservations occupy half the loop.
CAMPSITE CAPACITY & OUR FEES
Each campsite is limited to two camping units - one
adult and one child. A camping unit is any object
used for sleeping (RV, pop-up, tent, car, screen
house, tarp, etc.). A child’s tent (2 to 3 kids) will
be allowed free of charge with each paid camping
unit as long as only children 17 years old and under
occupy it. A second camping unit may be added
to a site; all fees shall apply. All vehicles, including
cars, vans, boats, jet skis, or utility trailers, must park
on the graveled area when available. Overflow
parking is available at all shower buildings and
parking lots. Do not park along roads or on grass
where signs are posted. Citations will be written
and/or vehicles towed at owner’s expense.

Since LBL does not have a general entrance fee
to the National Recreation Area, the America the
Beautiful-National Parks and Federal Recreational
Lands Annual and Volunteer Passes are not honored here. The Military Pass is only honored at The
Homeplace, Nature Station, and Planetarium. Access
and Senior Passes are honored for 50% off standard
basic camping fees. No refunds will be issued.

OTHER SERVICES
Ice, firewood, and tick repellent are available for
purchase. Soft drink machines are located at the
gatehouse. A washer and a dryer are available in
the Assembly Building. Laundry soap available.

(Available to registered campers only.)
CANOE RENTALS
Offered daily May 1-Oct. 31, 9 a.m.-4:30 p.m.
(Availability based on capacity, weather, and lake
conditions.) Rentals are available for use on Energy
Lake only. Paddles and life jackets included. See
gatehouse staff. All rentals must be returned to
gatehouse by 4:30 p.m. Beach use is permitted
for registered campers only.
RESERVATIONS
Reservations are available for select campsites at
Energy Lake and Hillman Ferry Campgrounds.
Reservations are also available for select campsites
and Cabins at Wranglers and Piney Campgrounds.
RULES OF THE ROAD
FOR YOUR SAFETY
You are responsible for your own safety.
1. Pets must be on a leash of 6 ft. or less and
under physical control at all times. No exceptions.
2. For health and sanitation purposes, you are
required to clean up after your pet.
3. Campers under 18 must be accompanied by adult.
4. Immediately report any theft, loss, accident, or
disturbance to the staff or call Law Enforcement.
5. Fireworks are prohibited at all times.
6. Firearms are prohibited except for LBL hunting
seasons by licensed and permitted hunters.
7. Archery target practice is prohibited.
8. All campfires must be contained in designated
fire rings. Please extinguish all campfires
thoroughly before vacating the site.
9. The designated swimming and beach area is
open during daylight hours, available for use
by registered campers only, and is depen-
dent on lake conditions.
10. Pets and glass containers are not permitted on
the beach, in swimming areas, bathrooms, or
shower buildings.
11. State law prohibits public consumption of
alcoholic beverages.
12. Cooking with an open flame in shower and shelter buildings is prohibited.
13. Electric grills and stoves may be used in shelter
buildings.

water. Please use Central or North Dump Stations. Citations will be written.
2. Vehicle maintenance is prohibited.
3. Do not clean fish or other game in shower
building sinks or at water faucets/hydrants.
4. Do not wash dishes, brush teeth, or wash up at
potable water sources.
5. For your safety, drinking water is treated and
monitored by employees with state certification.
6. To protect water supply from harmful bacteria,
please do not leave water hoses attached to
water hydrants when not in use. Hoses must be removed from hydrant areas.
7. Waste water is processed on-site through state
permitted treatment facilities. Please help us to
maintain the quality of treatment by using biodegradable detergents and antifreezes. 8. Do not nail, carve, or hang lanterns on trees.
