Autumn Term Newsletter No. 3 18th September 2014 Email: [email protected] Newport Road, Ventnor, PO38 1BQ Tel: 01983 857449 www.stfrancisventnor.co.uk Dear Parents, We would like to welcome our new Road Crossing Patrol, Miss Spence. She will be standing opposite the Pedestrian gate nearest the playground every morning and afternoon. Please ensure that children are either crossed over with her or using the zebra crossing as we are still seeing children being crossed by the parked cars. I would remind you for the safety of yourselves your child/children to use the paths around the car park and not walk across the car park. Following a collision in the car park this week, we have had to make the decision to keep the car park gate locked. Access via the pedestrian gates will be open as usual. Thank you. to everyone who has donated shoes towards raising funds for the Air Ambulance, they were very grateful! If you have any additional shoes or textiles which you do not want, they can still be placed in the ‘Re-cycle with Michael’ green collection box at the end of the car park. Any funds raised goes to the School. Please find attached a diary of the term dates for this academic year. We will notify you of any Development Days once they have been confirmed. Well done to the children who made story book gardens over the summer. There were some wonderful interpretations of stories. Congratulations to Georgie M, Bonnie T, Constance L, Jan G, Brody B and Megan A. The children were allowed to select a book to keep from the library Treasure Basket.
